Page layout

As I’m getting closer to completing the book I have been able to consider the layout more closely. Using lo-res versions of the content that will be in the book I’ve been putting together a page layout, considering the design elements such as which typeface, type size etc.

Here’s some page examples from Wolfgang Tillmans recent Serpentine Gallery exhibition publication: Wolfgang Tillmans Serpentine

Note the varied of number of photos on each page, use of white space, juxtaposition of B&W and colour pictures. This is just one example but it helps to look at examples of book design, I feel it is important to have a variety of layouts to maintain pacing throughout the book ie. not just page after page of large photos.
